Time to comment on the school budget
HAMDEN -- There will be a public hearing on the 2012-13 Board of Education budget at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the central office at 60 Putnam Ave.
The board will vote on the budget during a meeting that starts at 7.
The board's finance committee cut $240,753 from the $81.8 million budget proposal from Fran Rabinowitz, school superintendent. The latest proposal is $81,587,427, a number that's 3.13 percent more than the current $79 million budget.
