TUESDAY NIGHT PARTY FOR KIDS!!!
The Hamden Youth Services Bureau and the Hamden Department of Police Services are holding their annual Halloween Party for kids 12 and under. It's from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 26 at the Hamden Middle School cafeteria, 2623 Dixwell Ave. It's free for children under 12. There will be arts and crafts, games, refreshments and entertainment by DJ Joe and Jus B. Info? 203-777-2610.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON PARTY FOR DOGS!!!
The third annual Paws on Parade Halloween Costume Pet Parade is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday Oct. 30 at the Center One Complex, 2349 Whitney Ave., corner of Dixwell. Sponsored by the Hamden Happy Tails Foundation and Dunn's Pub, it benefits the Happy Tails Foundation, which is raising money for programming at the town's future animal shelter. Registration starts at 11. $10 fee per entry includes drawing for door prizes. Judging for the scariest, funniest, most original and beset on parade at 1 p.m. Pets must remain on leash at all times. Proof of current vaccinations required. Pet food bank donations gratefully accepted. "Happy Tails" sweatshirts and Tshirts will be sold.
