Hamden Launches New Town Website – www.hamden.com
Mayor Scott Jackson announces that the Town of Hamden's official website (http://www.hamden.com/) has been relaunched with a new look, more information and additional interactivity for residents. The updated site includes a complete design change, more information about all Town Departments, Boards and Commissions, as well as the latest news and events for Town activities. The goal of the update is to create a more user-friendly web environment with enhanced information content. In addition, in an effort to allow residents to access the latest Town information as quickly as possible, you can follow the Town on Facebook and Twitter, as well as sign up for email notifications on numerous town-related events and/or issues.
Mayor Jackson notes, “As the internet has steadily become an integral part of most peoples' lives, the need for our website to reflect that reality became readily apparent. We recognize that our citizens are busy and want to make sure that we provide quick access to information. The new website is a great resource for our residents and visitors alike.”
New updates include a quick-look section of “How Do I...?” drop-down questions, additional links to useful pages from Federal, State and non-profit entities, Legislative Council agendas and minutes, Charter Review Commission agendas and minutes, revamped Boards and Commissions pages, the latest news on events and opportunities provided by the Town, the inclusion of social media links and much more.
It is updated daily.
Hamden's Help Desk also wants to hear from residents about how it can provide more information to residents, and how the website can be more helpful. To participate, email at help@hamden.com. For further questions on the new website, contact the Mayor's Office at (203) 287-7100.
