NORTH HAVEN -- Today is North Haven Professional Firefighters Annual Grill Safety Day, traditionally held on the Friday preceding Memorial Day weekend.
The purpose is to inform the public of propane and charcoal grill safety techniques in anticipation of the grilling season thta begins this weekend.
Representatives from a commercial gas company and firefighters will be available to answer questions while performing demonstrations.  Lunch will be provided, so if you have a chance to stop by John P. Rosadini Fire Headquarters, 11 Broadway, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today, please do.
The guys will be out there rain or shine.
