NORTH HAVEN -- On Nov. 15 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., you can have hot and cold hors d'ouevres, beer and wine at Rustic Oak, 165 Washington Ave. The price is $50 and your ticket can be obtained at police headquarters on Linsley Street or at the door.
The money raised goes toward the Walter T. Berniere Scholarship and pays for some of the tuition costs for officers obtaining bachelor's or master's degrees.
Berniere passed away in 1990 and was police chief fro 1973 until then.
